- Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

Also, we do not control any of the above opt-out links or whether any particular company chooses to participate in these opt-out programs.
Please note that even if you opt-out of third-party advertising from our sponsors and partners, you may still receive promotional correspondence from us. If you wish to no longer receive promotional correspondence from us, you may unsubscribe using the applicable unsubscribe link made available within the promotional correspondence.

You should view your device or system “Settings” to determine how you can opt out of use of your device ID for “cross-app” personalized advertising.

Certain of these Third Parties store, process and transfer Personal Information on servers located outside of Canada in jurisdictions whose data protection laws may differ from those of Canada, such as the United States of America. As a result, Personal Information may be subject to access requests from governments, courts, or law enforcement in those jurisdictions according to the laws in those jurisdictions. For example, information may be shared in response to valid demands or requests from government authorities, courts and law enforcement officials in those countries. Introduction
Equip Adventure, Inc. (“Company“, “we“, “us“, or “our“) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you provide when you visit the websites www.equip.app, dashboard.equip.app, and equip.sport (together, the “Website“), when you download, install, create an Account on, access or use our iOS and Android mobile application (together with the Website, the “Platform“), and the services we provide (together with the Platform, our “Services“), and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in our Terms and Conditions (the “Terms“), into which this Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference.
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect:
- when you interact with the Services;
- in email, text, and other electronic messages between you and us; and
- when you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include a link to this Privacy Policy.
It does not apply to information collected by us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Company or any third party, or by any third party (including through any application or content, including advertising, that may link to or be accessible from or through the Services). Those third parties may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before you provide information on or through them.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not download, create an Account, or use the Services. By downloading, accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time (see Section 15, Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of the Services after we make changes constitutes acceptance of those changes, so please check the Privacy Policy periodically for updates.
1. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information that we collect when you interact with the Services and when you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this policy.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by or provided by you to us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Company or any third party; or any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through the Services. These other third parties may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before you provide information on or through them.
2. Our Privacy Commitments
Our approach to your information is straightforward:
- We do not sell your Personal Information. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetize your Personal Information.
- We do not share your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose your Personal Information to third parties for use in serving you targeted advertising across other services.
- We share with third parties only with your permission or to provide the Services. We share Personal Information with third parties for marketing or other non-essential purposes only when you have expressly consented. We share Personal Information with our service providers (such as our payment processor, cloud hosting provider, and analytics tools) only as necessary to operate, maintain and improve the Services, and only under contractual obligations of confidentiality and limited use.
- We honor opt-out preference signals. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other recognized universal opt-out mechanisms transmitted by your browser as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of Personal Information.
3. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe we may have collected information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@equip.app.
If you are 13 or older but under the age of 18, you may only use the Services if your parent or legal guardian has accepted the Terms on your behalf, has set up your Account, and accepts full responsibility for your compliance with the Terms and this Privacy Policy.
We will not sell, share for cross-context behavioral advertising, or otherwise disclose for marketing purposes the Personal Information of any user we know to be under the age of 16 unless the user (or, where required, the user’s parent or legal guardian) provides express opt-in consent. We will not use the Personal Information of users under 18 for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without the same express opt-in consent. Residents of certain states may have additional rights regarding minors’ Personal Information; please see Section 11 (Your State Privacy Rights).
4. How We Collect Your Personal Information
In this Policy, “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you. We collect several types of information from and about users of our Services, including information by which you may be personally identified; information that is about you but that does not identify you individually; and information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Services, and your usage patterns.
1. Information You Provide to Us
The Personal Information we collect on or through the Services includes:
- Contact and account information: name, email address, telephone number, username, password, and any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline.
- Profile and preference information: information you provide through your Account settings, including emergency contact information if applicable.
- Transaction information: details of transactions you carry out through the Services and of the fulfillment of your orders, including rental history and overage or damage charges. We use Stripe, Inc. as our payment processor; payment card information is collected and processed by Stripe and is not stored on our servers, although we may receive limited information such as the last four digits of your card and card type for our records. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy.
- Communications: records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us via email or via the in-app chat support function.
- Search queries: search terms you enter on the Services.
- Other information: any other information you choose to provide, including in response to surveys, support requests, or feedback submissions.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
As you navigate through and interact with our Services, including when you download, access or use our Platform, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect information about your device, browsing and usage activity, and patterns, including:
- Activity and transaction details: information generated by your use of the Services, including when you reserve or rent equipment, communicate with us, or fill in web forms.
- Account status: your Account status, subscription information, and purchase history.
- Usage details: traffic data, logs, date and time of access, your preferences, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the Services.
- Device information: information about your browser, device and internet connection, including the device’s unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, and mobile network information.
- Stored information and files: the Services may, with your permission, access metadata and other information associated with files stored on your device, such as photographs (for example, if you upload a photo of damaged equipment to a support ticket).
- Precise geolocation: the Services collect real-time precise location information of equipment that you rent from us using GPS signals, sensors, and Bluetooth beacons in our Stations. Because you are typically with the equipment during your rental period, this information also reveals your real-time precise location during that period. This is treated as Sensitive Personal Information (see Section 8). Disabling location collection will disable rental functionality, including your ability to unlock and use the equipment.
3. Sources of Personal Information
We collect this information directly from you when you provide it to us; automatically as you interact with the Services; and, to a limited extent, from third parties such as our service providers, business partners, and analytics providers.
If you do not want us to collect this information you may opt out at any time by deleting your account in your profile settings in the Platform or by sending a request to privacy@equip.app. For more information, see Section 9 Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information below.
Please note that opting out of the Platform’s collection of location information will disable its location-based features, which may include your ability to rent equipment.
5. Cookies, SDKs and Other Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and improve the user experience. The technologies we use vary depending on whether you are using our Website or our mobile Application.
Our mobile Application is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. When you download and install our Application, you are also subject to the privacy practices of Apple Inc. and Google LLC, including the disclosures we make in the Apple App Store privacy label and the Google Play Data Safety section for our Application. We encourage you to review those disclosures, as well as your device manufacturer’s privacy policies, in addition to this Privacy Policy.
As of the date of this Privacy Policy, we use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:
| Category | Purpose |
| Authentication and Session cookies | Stores and verifies your session and authentication state, so you remain logged in across pages of the Website and across uses of the Application. |
| Consent and Cookie Preferences | Stores your cookie consent and other privacy preferences so we do not need to ask you again on each visit. |
| Language and Translation cookies | Allows translation of private pages and remembers your language preference. |
| Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) | Provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics tracks user sessions and behavior on the Website and in the Application so that we can understand how the Services are used and improve them. |
| Tracking cookie (Google AdSense) | Provided by Google LLC. A first-party Google AdSense cookie used by Equip to track marketing campaigns. |
| Payment Processing (Stripe) | Provided by Stripe, Inc. and used to enable secure payment processing and fraud prevention, including the Stripe SDK embedded in our Application. |
You can manage these technologies in the following ways:
- On our Website: you can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Website may then be inaccessible or not function properly.
- In our Application: you can manage permissions (such as notifications, location and tracking) through your device’s system settings. On iOS, you can control App Tracking Transparency permissions in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can control advertising and analytics permissions in Settings > Privacy or Settings > Google > Ads. Disabling certain permissions, in particular location, will limit or prevent core functionality such as renting equipment.
Some content or applications on the Services may be served by third parties. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the Services. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. We do not currently allow third parties to serve advertisements through the Services.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any Personal Information, for the following purposes:
- to provide, operate, and maintain the Services and present their content to you;
- to create and manage your Account, authenticate you, and respond to your requests;
- to enable equipment rentals, including unlocking and locking equipment and Stations through the Application;
- to process payments, including by transmitting transaction information to Stripe;
- to charge you for additional usage, overages, damage, or unreturned equipment in accordance with the Terms;
- to send you account-related communications, including confirmations, receipts, security alerts, and notices about expiration, renewal, or changes to your Account or the Services;
- to communicate with you about the Services, respond to your inquiries, and provide support;
- to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection;

- to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity or breaches of the Terms and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Equip Adventure, Inc., our users, and others;
- to support operational functions using automated tools, including artificial intelligence-based systems for customer self-service assistance and for validating images submitted through the Platform (for example, to confirm that equipment is visible and images are clear). These tools assist our operations and do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. You may request human assistance or escalation where appropriate by contacting us at support@equip.app;
- to comply with applicable law, legal process, and regulatory requirements;
- with your express opt-in consent, to send you marketing communications about goods and services that may be of interest to you; you may withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in such communications or by contacting us at privacy@equip.app;
- for any other purpose disclosed by us at the time you provide the information; and
- for any other purpose with your consent.
7. How We Share Your Information
We share Personal Information only as described below. We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not share your Personal Information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Service Providers
We share Personal Information with third-party service providers and processors that perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting and infrastructure (Google Cloud, with servers located in Switzerland), payment processing (Stripe, Inc.), analytics and campaign tracking (Google LLC, including Google Analytics and Google AdSense), customer support tooling, communications and email delivery, and security and fraud prevention. These service providers are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and to use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. We do not authorize our service providers to use or disclose your Personal Information for their own purposes.
Affiliates and Subsidiaries
We may share Personal Information with our subsidiaries and affiliates as needed to operate the Services.
Business Transfers
We may share or transfer Personal Information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company. Where required by law, we will notify you and seek any necessary consents prior to such a transfer.
Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights
We may disclose Personal Information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with any court order, law, subpoena, or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request; (b) enforce or apply the Terms, this Privacy Policy, and other agreements, including for billing and collection; or (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Equip Adventure, Inc., our users, or others, including exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
With Your Consent
We may share your Personal Information with other third parties when you have provided express consent to such sharing.
Aggregated and De-identified Information
We may share aggregated information and information that does not identify any individual without restriction.
8. Sensitive Personal Information
We collect the following category of Sensitive Personal Information:
- Precise geolocation, collected from equipment you rent from us as described in Section 4.
We use precise geolocation only to operate, monitor, and protect the Services and the rented equipment, including to enable rentals, return verification, theft and damage detection, fleet management, and customer support. We do not use precise geolocation to infer characteristics about you and we do not share precise geolocation with third parties for advertising or marketing. Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to limit our use of Sensitive Personal Information; please see Section 11 (Your State Privacy Rights). Limiting our use of precise geolocation will disable your ability to rent and use equipment through the Services.
9. Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We provide you with the following choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us:
- Account information. You can review and update your Personal Information by logging into the Platform and visiting your Account settings.
- Marketing communications. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those communications, by adjusting your Account settings, or by emailing privacy@equip.app. You may continue to receive non-promotional, transactional, and Service-related communications even after opting out of marketing.
- Cookies and tracking technologies. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent, as described in Section 5.
- Mobile push notifications and location services. You can disable push notifications and location services through your device’s system settings. Disabling location services will prevent you from renting equipment through the Services.
- Universal opt-out signals. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals when transmitted by your browser as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of Personal Information.
- Account deletion. You may close your Account at any time through your Account settings or by emailing privacy@equip.app. Closing your Account will end your access to the Services and we will delete or de-identify your Personal Information in accordance with our retention practices described in Section 13.
10. No Sale or Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising
We do not sell your Personal Information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and we do not share your Personal Information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended). Because we do not engage in these practices, there is nothing for you to opt out of in this regard, but if you submit an opt-out request through any channel (including via Global Privacy Control), we will treat it as confirmation of your preference and will not change our practices in a way that would result in your information being sold or shared without first providing you appropriate notice and the opportunity to opt out.
11. Your State Privacy Rights
State consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding our use of their Personal Information. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia (and other states as comprehensive privacy laws come into effect) may have rights to:
- confirm whether we process their Personal Information;
- access and obtain a copy of their Personal Information in a portable format;
- request deletion of their Personal Information;
- correct inaccuracies in their Personal Information;
- opt out of the sale of Personal Information, the sharing of Personal Information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects;
- limit the use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
The exact scope of these rights varies by state. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@equip.app or use the rights-request form available within the Platform. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request, including by asking you to confirm information we already have on file. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to our verification of the agent’s authority.
If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing privacy@equip.app within thirty (30) days of the decision and writing “Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within the time periods required by applicable law.
California-specific disclosures. In addition to the rights above, California residents have the right under the “Shine the Light” law (California Civil Code § 1798.83) to request information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us at privacy@equip.app.
12. Data Security
We have implemented technical, organizational, and physical security measures designed to protect your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Information you provide to us is stored on servers protected by industry-standard safeguards, and payment transactions are encrypted using TLS technology and processed by Stripe. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the Platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential, and we ask you not to share it with anyone.
Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Although we use reasonable efforts to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Services.
In the event of a security incident involving your Personal Information that triggers notification obligations under applicable U.S. federal or state law, we will notify affected individuals and any required regulators in accordance with the timing and content requirements of those laws.
13. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Information for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services and to maintain a record of your transactions. We will retain and use your Personal Information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements), to resolve disputes, to prevent fraud, and to enforce our legal agreements and policies.
When you close your Account, we will delete or de-identify your Personal Information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required or permitted by applicable law (for example, transaction records required for tax or accounting purposes; or information needed for our legitimate interest in defending against legal claims, in which case we will retain such information for the period of the applicable statute of limitations). Aggregated and de-identified information that cannot reasonably be re-associated with you may be retained indefinitely.
14. Data Storage and International Transfers
Although we are a U.S. company offering Services to users located in the United States, we host and process your Personal Information on Google Cloud servers located in Switzerland. Switzerland is recognized internationally as having robust data protection laws, including the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), which provides protections substantially equivalent to those of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation.
Because your Personal Information is stored and processed in Switzerland, it may be subject to access requests from governments, courts, or law enforcement authorities in Switzerland in accordance with Swiss law. In addition, because Google is a U.S.-headquartered company, your Personal Information may also be subject to access by U.S. authorities pursuant to applicable U.S. law (including the Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act, or “CLOUD Act”), regardless of the physical location of the servers on which it is stored.
To the extent any of our other service providers store or process Personal Information outside of the United States or Switzerland, we require those service providers to maintain appropriate safeguards consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law, including by entering into contractual obligations of confidentiality and limited use.
15. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Privacy Policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ Personal Information, we will notify you through an appropriate channel, depending on how we normally communicate with you (including by email and/or via in-Platform notice such as a banner, pop-up, or other notification mechanism). The date the Privacy Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date, active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting our Platform and this Privacy Policy to check for any changes. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop accessing and using the Services.
16. Electronic Communications
By using the Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including notices and disclosures required by law. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
You may have opted in to receive promotional electronic communications from us. If you opt-in to receive such communications, we may use your Personal Information to (i) communicate with you regarding our Services, the Platform, and promotions; (ii) provide you with other information that you request; and/or (iii) improve our product and service offerings. You will always have the opportunity to unsubscribe from any of our email or other promotional communications at any time. To unsubscribe, you can contact us at privacy@equip.app or as otherwise described in our electronic communications to you. If you decide to unsubscribe, we will only contact you thereafter (i) for the purposes allowed under applicable law, (ii) to send you notices of changes to this Privacy Policy, and (iii) to send you Service-related messages.
17. Automated Decision-Making
Equip Adventure, Inc. does not use automated decision-making processes, including profiling, that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. As described in Section 6, we do use automated tools, including artificial intelligence-based systems, to support operational functions such as customer self-service assistance and validating images submitted through the Platform. These tools assist our operations only and do not make consequential decisions about you. If you have questions about our use of automated tools or wish to request human review or escalation of any matter, please contact us at support@equip.app.
18. Contact Information
